Overview of Unnayan Prochesta (UP)

Unnayan Prochesta (UP) is a voluntary development organization established in 1996, working for the development of the poor. Unnayan Prochesta means development endeavor – a society where all folks of the human being are living together to lead a sustainable peaceful life.

Considering alleviating the poverty, established the human rights, ensuring the basic needs of the poor under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Sk. Yakub Ali a young batch of local dedicated boys has started this organization.

Since independence, NGOs have been working to reduce poverty and improve the living standards of underprivileged people in Bangladesh through financial and humanitarian support. Unnayan Prochesta began its journey in 1993 in southwestern Bangladesh, focusing on poverty alleviation, economic self-reliance, and human dignity through savings and credit programs. With the sincere efforts of the General and Executive Committees, dedicated staff, and the strong leadership of President Mr. Md. Mojibur Rahman, the organization continues to expand its activities and improve service quality. Unnayan Prochesta expresses its sincere gratitude to PKSF, local administration, government authorities, staff members, and community members for their continued support and cooperation. We believe the organization will continue to achieve greater success in the years ahead.
