Educational Requirements
Bachelor or Master degree in any subject.
Training & Specialization
Training period: 2 months, with a monthly allowance of BDT 12,000. Training covers the organization’s microfinance operations, credit procedures, field-level work and code of conduct. (This detail is my assumption. The circular only mentions the 2-month period.) No specific prior specialization is required. Experience in a relevant post is an advantage and allows age relaxation up to 35.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Form and organize groups and members in the assigned working area. Disburse loans and collect installments and savings from members. Maintain member records, passbooks and daily collection reports accurately. Conduct regular field visits and follow up on loan use and repayment. Help keep overdue amounts low and report problems to the branch manager. Raise awareness among members about savings, credit discipline and the organization development programs. Other Requirements
Maximum age is 32, relaxable up to 35 for candidates with relevant experience. Must be able to ride a bicycle. Must be able to ride a motorcycle if required, and in that case hold a valid driving license. Selected candidates must deposit BDT 15,000 as security at joining, refundable with service charge. Candidates must choose an exam center: Dhaka, Tangail, Chattogram, Cumilla, Noakhali, Faridpur, Jashore, Brahmanbaria or Sylhet. Candidates from Dhaka, Chattogram, Barishal, Sylhet and Khulna divisions get priority. Candidates must be physically fit, of good character, hard-working, courageous and willing to take on challenges. Must be willing to work in any SSS working area, including district towns, sub-towns and remote areas.
